Welcome to Southern Surgical Hospital

I hope that your stay is pleasant and that we exceed your expectation of how healthcare should be. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the care you receive, please contact our Patient Advocate, Raymie Hoffmann at (985) 661-2129.

Here at Southern Surgical Hospital, whether you are having a minor outpatient procedure or a major surgery, your complete satisfaction is our goal.

Thank you for choosing Southern Surgical Hospital for your healthcare needs. Our goal is that you would recommend this hospital to your family and friends.

Parking:
Southern Surgical Hospital offers its patients free, ground-level parking around the hospital. Patients and families may want to park by the front door during the surgery and close to the separate in-patient discharge canopy prior to bringing the patient home.

Visiting Hours:
Here at Southern Surgical Hospital we believe that family and friends can be some of the best medicine, so we do not have set visiting hours. The only deviation from this policy is for those patients in intensive care. If a patient is in the ICU, the visits will be kept to 30 minutes every two hours beginning at 8 a.m. daily.

Internet Access:
Patients and family may access the internet. New wireless internet is available in the atrium and lobby, while patient rooms are equipped for Internet access using a personal ethernet cable.

Hotel Accommodations:
If a patient requires an overnight stay, Southern Surgical Hospital does its best to accommodate the patient and one guest; however, if extended family would like to visit, we suggest contacting our front desk at (985) 641-0600 for a list of hotels. Southern Surgical Hospital does not have discount rate agreements with any specific hotels in the area.

Dietary Concerns:
There are times when a patient has specific dietary concerns. Southern Surgical’s staff will do everything necessary to meet these needs. Please inform the staff of your needs during your pre-op interview.
